New resource found on the web

I found today a very useful and interesting resource if you like your number plates. Loads of pictures and very interesting information on all aspects of cherished\personalised number plate ownership.

Under the guise of Nice-Reg.co.uk the link to the photo section can be found here.

I have also found the Registration Numbers Club - a club for enthusiasts & owners, I might even take a trip to their rally on Sunday 20th June 2010 at the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford.

BBC report

Mark Easton of the BBC has recently written about the Wealth of Britain. And has come up with an interesting statistic.....

Question: "What proportion of British households own a car with a personalised number plate?"

Answer: 5.2% with a number plate of which the average value is £1,400.

Bit of a bumper hour in central London

St James's Sq, Pall Mall, New Bond Street & Albermarle Street all proved to be good spots... 5 No 1's in a day - albeit a few were Diplomatic cars - I missed 1 RAF as well. The pocket Ixus 100IS isn't up to the job of quick reaction\moving subject photography, so next time the G10 will get tested, if that fails it's back to lugging around the 1D MkIII and a quick lens.
